BosDates v4.5 Manual

myDates

The myDates section allows your visitors to post their own events/reminders to your calendar system in such a way that only they can see the events.

It also allows for a more personalized view of the calendar system, as they have the ability to embed any "non-private" calendar into their own myDates calendar view. It does not give them permission to post anything to the embedded calendars, only embed those calendars into their own view.

The events posted by a myDates user, is only seen by that user. They will not show up in the admin panel, they will not show up on your calendars. They are only visible to the myDates user when they are logged into their myDates account.

In order to access the myDates system, the visitor must first have an account in the calendar. To create the account, they simply click the "login/create account" link at the top of the calendar. Once they have set up and verified the account, they will now be able to login to the calendar. To activate the myDates calendar view, the user will click the "myDates: login/create" link, which will activate their personalized myDates view.

To post an event to their myDates view once they are logged into their personalized myDates calendar, they simply click the "post event" in the myDates menu.

To remove an event, or to embed a calendar into their myDates view, the will click "admin" in the myDates menu and then go into either the "Embedded calendars" or "myDates events" section of the admin.
