Installation
Installing the BosNews system is a very easy process, and only takes around 5 minutes from start to finish. Our installation routine has been designed with the novice in mind to ensure an easy installation.
If after reading this manual you still have an issue with installing the script, BosDev will be happy to install the script for you. There is no fee for this service.
Installing the script requires that your server already has PHP version 4.10 or above, and MySQL version 3.23 or above installed on it. If your server does not meet these requirements you will not be able to complete the installation of this script. If you are unsure if your server meets these requirements, please check with your hosting company. BosDev will not install PHP nor MySQL, nor can we support you during your own installation of these two products.
Installation includes the following steps:
› Unzipping the distribution package
› Uploading files to the server
› Creating a database
› Setting file/directory permissions
› Running the installation script
› Cleaning up
